To My Seventeenth Year Old
by Happy Qian
About This Novel
In my senior year of high school, I was so devastated that I wrote on the title page of my most beautiful English notebook, "... Don't let seventeen years old have regrets." Later, I put it and my books next to the table, arranged my seat, and went to my examination room to take the monthly exam. When I came back from the exam and opened my English notebook to review, I found that someone had added a sentence with a pencil on the title page. "I have been to the top of the mountain and I have been to the bottom of the valley, and I have learned a lot from both. - The Stranger" I didn't choose to erase it. Even when I was 17 years old and obscure, I still remember this sentence. This book is dedicated to my youth.
