The surface of the earth has long been reduced to a wasteland where data storms are raging and physical rules are disordered. Within the dome, society has been completely solidified by the new class of "data credit". Lin Feng, a low-level data cleaner struggling in the "Rust Belt Zone" of the Seventh Dome, works every day in the "Abyss Corridor" of the data dump. He risks being eroded by data viruses and manually clears redundant and error codes in exchange for meager data credits to survive. His parents were once top biological neuroscientists. Both of them were "brain-dead" in a publicly announced "data accident", leaving him with only a string of unknown biological keys and a last word: "The truth lies at the intersection of data and life."
