About This Novel

This book is a type of "youxue". On the premise of further examining the literary attributes of epitaph biographies, it provides a multi-faceted interpretation of the newly unearthed epitaphs of the Tang Dynasty from the perspective of biographical literature, which is a new material that has been less explored by predecessors but is related to the development and evolution of biographical literature in the Tang Dynasty. The whole book consists of three parts: the first part, the second part and the appendix: the first part focuses on a comprehensive explanation of the biographical literary value of epitaphs in the Tang Dynasty. The second part selects several more important epitaphs for special research. Some of the issues discussed in the first part are further strengthened and explained in the second part, which can further highlight the biographical literary value of Tang Dynasty epitaphs. Finally, the newly unearthed epitaphs and Tang biographies are appended in the form of examples for reference by relevant researchers.
