The two spent several months entering Tibet via the "naturally dangerous" National Highway 317, passing through most of Tibet including Nyingchi, Qamdo, Nagqu, Lhasa, Shannan, Shigatse, and Ngari. Many stories happened along the way, including watching the snow-capped mountains, meeting living Buddhas, visiting Tibetans, and exploring civilization. However, on that ordinary night in Pangong Tso, the journey came to an unexpected and abrupt end. Several years later, she never forgot that trip to Tibet. She tossed and turned about it for countless nights, dreaming of returning to Tibet and the place where the journey began.
