About This Novel

They said it was divine punishment. God didn't like people who were too diligent and worked too hard, so he took away "diligence". What we get is not a plague or an epidemic, but "lazy disease". The laziness seeping out from the seams of the bones, the fatigue rising from the depths of the bone marrow. The eyes can move, and the mind is as clear as a mirror, but the hands and feet are not in control, as if they are not his own. In the end, all that is left of a person is his conscious soul wrapped in a skin, hanging on the bed, waiting to get moldy, starve to death, or die of thirst. The world is so "lazy" to death. The factory went mute, the wheels stopped, the lights went out. Those who survived were those who had been burned by smoke, soaked in slag, and deafened by noise. They are "coal black man", "grease-stained ghost" and "low-power man". Now, they have to work hard to put this "lazy" world together again. It's not just the house that is broken, it's the heart that is heavier than the house. This story is about this group of "supportive people" and what they have to bear in an era of "lazy".
