The festive atmosphere of preparing for the child's "three baths" still cannot hide the difficulties of living on a tight budget and the idleness of all the relatives. The sad elegy of the collapse of the building runs throughout the play from then on. In the play, the kind-hearted Lao She family, the dim and incompetent uncle, the elder sister-in-law and the elder brother-in-law, the overbearing and confused aunt, the elder sister-in-law, the shrewd cousin Fuhai and the upright Mr. Duo all appear one by one. They are full of Beijing films, which not only reproduce the historical events of the Gengzi Year in 1900, but also incorporate Beijing-style humorous language and the singing and dancing of "Siban Tune", "Liu Shuiban", and "Peasant Music" to highlight the characteristics of Beijing Opera.
