About This Novel

Li Qingzhao (1084-1155), also known as Yi'an Jushi, was a famous poetess and scholar during the Song Dynasty. Her style of poetry is elegant and clear, and she is unique in the poetry world of the Song Dynasty. Her collection of poetry includes "Shu Yu Ci", and she also wrote an article "Ci Theory", which puts forward the idea that poetry "doesn't belong to the same family". In addition, she and her husband Zhao Mingcheng co-edited the famous epigraphy book "Epigraphy and Stone Records". Li Qingzhao's works were so popular that they were circulated during his lifetime. His collection of poems, "Yi'an Ci", has been lost. The collection of poems compiled by later generations is "Shyu Ci". This small book selects Li Qingzhao's most essential lyrics, which better demonstrates the poet's artistic style and creative level. The commentator annotates the important words of each poem, and then gives a brief commentary to make it easier to understand, which is very suitable for everyone to appreciate the artistic charm of Yi An's poems.
