About This Novel
"Old Times" has a strong penetrating power, revealing the true nature of one's nature and the magnanimity of one's soul. Most of the prose is set in the rural areas of northern Sichuan and the ancient town of the author's hometown as the background, with his own experiences and feelings as the content. Realism, portraiture and emotion are his main themes. Every time I read an article, I feel immersed in it.
