About This Novel
"Rusty Key Building" is a suspenseful horror novel set in a strange old building in the old city. It consists of four interconnected stories. The walls of the six-story old building at the end of the old city are peeling off like rotten flesh, and the corridors are filled with the smell of rust and mold all year round. Tenant Chen Chen moved in cheaply, but on a rainy night he saw a faceless black figure dragging the body of an old lady on the third floor. The brass key he held tightly in his hand had a vague "3" engraved on it. This key, like a death spell, reveals a centuries-old secret buried in the old building - it was once a lock factory in the Republic of China, and the boss used living people to make "blood keys". Each key corresponds to a life, suppressing the evil spirits that breed in the building. From the shadow swallowing up the reflection in the mirror on the fourth floor, to the skeleton of a child holding a small key in the mezzanine of the wall, to the "key closed loop" conspiracy discovered during the police investigation, every story revolves around "keys": they are shackles, bait, and the credentials to open hell. When the six brass keys engraved with house numbers are gathered one by one, blood oozes from the walls of the old building, the shadow in the mirror comes to reality, and the bones in the wall make the sound of keys clashing - the entire building turns into a living prison, dragging all residents into an inescapable cycle.
