In 1973 in the Jizhong Plain, the cold wind made the poplar trees whine. The abandoned warehouse in the backyard of the brigade headquarters has become Lin Mo's "forbidden area" - a broken wooden sign hangs on the door with the words "Under scientific research, please do not disturb" crookedly written on it. The dim light of a kerosene lamp shines through the crack in the door, mixed with intermittent "sizzling" sounds, and Lin Mo's mumbling to himself.
