Japanese Version of Wuthering Heights: Golden Yaksha
by (japan) Ozaki Autumn Leaves
About This Novel
The story begins with the two male and female protagonists, Guanyi and Agong. Guanyi's parents died when he was young. Because Guanyi's father was kind to Agong's father, Agong's father took on the responsibility of raising Guanyi. The hero and heroine grew up happily like childhood sweethearts, and the pair always took good care of Gong. Gong's parents promised to get the two of them married. Gong finally grew into a beautiful girl. At a banquet, she met the son of a local banker. She was attracted by the big shining diamond ring on his hand and thought that if she could marry such a person, she might have a happy life! The banker's son fell in love with the outstanding Gong at first sight, and immediately persuaded his father to propose marriage after returning home. The Agong family broke their promise to Guanyi and agreed to the marriage. Guanyi was stimulated by this and began to degenerate. He became a golden Yaksha, a slave of money, and started a loan sharking business that he originally despised. He just wanted to make a lot of money. But Gong, who was married to a married woman, did not get what she wanted.

It's so childish, I guess it's just the Japanese trying to imitate Western novels.
It's ridiculous that a book like this deserves to be compared to Wuthering Heights.
classic
I'm curious and like this type of book very much. Recommend it.
Classic and good looking. . . . . . . . . . . .
It's another dream. What is love in the end? Why is it so worthless? But I can't let it go. I know it's a play but I'm happy to take part in it.
Good to hungry
It tells the story of a diaosi and a rich second generation competing for marriage.
Come on, just start watching.
Ozaki Momiji's masterpiece tells the story of the tragic love story between childhood sweethearts Kanichi and Miyako. The protagonist, Ma Guanyi, lost his father and mother when he was 15 years old. He was fostered in a family whose parents had helped him, and he made a marriage contract with the beloved daughter of this family, A Gong, his childhood sweetheart. Later, the benefactor's family reneged on the engagement because they were greedy for wealth and wanted to give the palace to Yuiki Toyama (the son of a banker). A Gong's heart was also shaken by wealth and splendor, and he chose money for a while. Since then, Jian Guanyi has been in pain and heartbreak, and has resigned himself to depravity. From a promising student to a loan shark despised by thousands of people. After marrying into a wealthy family, Gong never forgot his former lover. He missed her so much that he became depressed day by day. After a long period of torture, he gradually understood his true feelings. Finally, it ends with the content of the letter written by A Gong to Ma Guanyi, without telling whether the two reunited or broke up. The translator has great literary talent and it is very enjoyable to read.
