What do people see when they look through a shaking wine glass? Perhaps, when we take out the olive at the bottom of the cup, we will realize that it turns out to be the same as ourselves. It looks plump and plump, but as long as we press it lightly, sour and bitter juice will splash out. Focusing on a realist perspective, this book is adapted from the real life experience of a young man in a county town. It uses a few words spoken at the wine table as a guide to tell the story of the frustrations and struggles of contemporary youth in love, work, and ideals. Using the attitude of a drinker, it uncovers the painstaking makeup, explores the different understandings of Chinese youth on life, emotions, and the workplace, and faces the truth of life: we should have worked decently, lived calmly, and kissed gracefully, but in the end we have sunk to the bottom of the glass and turned into a sour olive.
