This book consists of an "Introduction" and seven chapters of special research. The "Introduction" discusses the historical attributes of family and family studies in the Song Dynasty, the connotation and characteristics of family studies in the Song Dynasty, and the laws and practices of marriage in the Song Dynasty, etc., In order to clarify the academic innovation direction and value of this topic. Chapters 1 to 4 constitute the first half of the manuscript (similar to the previous chapter), which respectively discuss "the inheritance and interaction of family learning in the Song Dynasty with marriage as the link", "the love of Weiyang and the inheritance of family learning among scholars in the two Song Dynasties", "Taoist sects and family tradition" and "literary writers". Chapters 5 to 7 are the second half (similar to the second part), which respectively conduct case analysis and interpretation of the situations in which the family education and marriage of the "Suzhou Fan family", "Fenning Huang family" and "Sanyin Lu family" are related to poetry creation.
