Mr. Fu Xinian is an expert in studying the history of ancient Chinese architecture. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1994 when it was established. At the same time, he is also an appraiser of ancient Chinese calligraphy and painting, a bibliographer of ancient book editions, a consultant to the National Ancient Books Compilation and Publishing Planning Group, a chairman of the National Cultural Relics Appraisal Committee, and a librarian of the Central Research Institute of Literature and History.
