A Director Who Doesn't Believe in Evil and a Restorer Who Believes in Evil
by I Really Can't Think Of What To Call It
About This Novel
Chen Xu, a top horror film director and a well-known materialist warrior in the industry, believes that all fears originate from science. Jiang Wan, a cultural relic restorer at the National Museum and a reclusive inheritor of metaphysics, firmly believes that there is a god three feet above his head. In preparation for a new film, Chen Xu led a team into her restoration room to collect information. She looked at his carefully designed spells and Feng Shui layout, frowning: "Director, your evil-suppressing talisman is painted upside down. It's not to ward off evil spirits, but to attract evil." Chen Xu adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and said in a distant tone: "Evidence?" Jiang Wan opened a scan of the ancient books in the library and taught him a lesson on the spot. The next day, Chen Xu blocked her at the door, handed her the letter of appointment, and looked at her carefully: "Teacher Jiang, please come and be my folklore consultant and correct me personally." Since then, his crew has added a big shot who can use "Book of Changes" to deduce plots and rely on a compass to locate the camera. And when weird things happened frequently on the crew and science couldn't solve them, the only one he could believe was her.
