Some of My Old Things
by Blank Fold
About This Novel
A simple memoir: a confused self-narration of the first half of her life by a rural female college student in the early 1990s, including struggles, loss, and recovery. I have been on the road to finding myself and getting to know myself in an ordinary but somewhat ups and downs life. When I was young, I always had countless dreams and fantasies, but as I grew up, I found that my dreams were lost all the way, and my life ended up becoming something I never imagined. When I was young, I always pursued perfection. When I grow up, I find that kindness, hatred, self-confidence, shyness, loneliness, and jealousy are all indispensable parts of myself. It is precisely because of the ups and downs in life that we are what we are today. We can feel ourselves in birth, old age, sickness, death, joys and sorrows. So, we began to grow up slowly, and began to understand that growing up is to reconcile with ourselves, to accept our imperfect selves, to feel the world with our own hearts and to feel ourselves is the best gift God has given to growing up. This book is a personal memoir. It writes about the people and things around me, which may be very different from the taste requirements of some readers. It would be my greatest honor if readers can have the same feelings or touches about life in my plain language.
