About This Novel

The poet Rilke believed that love is a metaphysical existence, and he wanted to transcend love and reach the fullness of existence. When Mu Zi read this passage in the book, her heart was filled with ups and downs, and she seemed to find another form of proof of her and Lin Lang's love in a noble soul. Perhaps more than ten years of spiritual love has restrained their physical desires, making their love free from the hardships of daily necessities, the torment of torn relationships with close relatives, the suspicion and mutual harm caused by love, and the hardships caused by inconsistent personalities and physical discomfort... Self-restraint allows them to escape from all the cold realities that can destroy love, and keeps them away from the test of reality. In the painful lovesickness of not being able to meet each other, they regarded each other as gods, tried their best to become the most perfect themselves for each other, and reached the "fulfillment of existence" mentioned by Rilke.
