About This Novel
The collection of poems "Tianshan Pastoral" is a hymn describing the working people in ethnic minority areas in New China. It is not only beautiful and clear in terms of border scenery, folk customs, poetic language, etc., But is also unique in terms of theme. "Tianshan Pastoral" selects the poet's main poems from 1951 to 1955. There are four groups of poems, nine pastoral poems and one narrative poem. The most famous are the two love poems "Tulupan Love Song" and "Guozigou Mountain Ballad". It reflects the new life of Kazakhs, Uyghurs, Mongolians and other ethnic groups in Xinjiang after liberation, and expresses the loyalty of young men and women of fraternal ethnic groups to the motherland, their eagerness to devote themselves to creating a new life, and their pure and steadfast love that is closely integrated with labor. The poems are soft and brisk, and mostly use descriptions of life scenes to express passionate emotions. It is a rare excellent poem in the history of contemporary literature that reflects the real life of fraternal nations.
