The book "Research on Seasonal Poems of the Song Dynasty" is mainly based on a close reading of the text, and conducts a systematic thematic study of the Song Dynasty's seasonal poems from a diachronic comparative perspective. The book first examines women's writing, children's writing, and peasant writing in seasonal poems; secondly, it explores the penetration of seasonal poems into the life situations of Song people; and then analyzes the relationship between palace festivals, written writing, and the operation of power; and finally, it examines the aesthetic evolution of seasonal poems from the aspects of poem composition, allusions, themes, and language. The appendix explains the influence of seasonal poems on different seasonal genres such as Song poetry and Song Dynasty geography notes, and corrects the errors in the Song poems in "Ode to Ancient and Modern Years" by Pu Ji of the Southern Song Dynasty, thereby further revealing the close interactive relationship between festivals and Song poetry, folk customs and literature.
