This book studies contemporary world literary theory and its application and changes in the Chinese context. Since Goethe mentioned the term "world literature" in 1827, many scholars have responded to various issues related to world literature for more than a hundred years. However, it was not until 2000 that the theory of world literature made significant progress. This book is based on summarizing the theories of world literature in the past twenty years, and discusses the applicability and changes of these theories in the Chinese context.
