Trout Song: the True Story of Nine Women Who Escaped a Nazi Concentration Camp
About This Novel
This book is a true story that happened during World War II. It tells the blood and tears of nine women from different European countries who bravely fought under the iron fist of the Nazis. As early as 1942, these nine women (some of whom were only 15 years old) joined the anti-fascist movement without hesitation. French police and German soldiers arrested them, and the Gestapo interrogated them and tortured them. They were deported from France and ended up in a forced labor camp in Germany's Buchenwald concentration camp area. On the way to the concentration camp, they met in various places such as prisons and transit areas and formed a team. Not only did these nine women survive the harsh environment, they also deliberately destroyed the iron weapons manufactured by the fascists in the factories where they worked. A few days after the war ended, they were immediately driven out of the concentration camps and embarked on death marches intended to kill them. But these nine women refused to accept death - even though they were bruised and nearly starved, they still tried their best to escape the clutches of the Nazis.
