The protagonist is like a third party who interferes with other people's feelings. This book is too extreme, or too forcefully subdued. The whole book is full of pretentiousness, which makes me feel inexplicably disgusted.

Are you going to go too far with your magic reform? Good guy, you are from a big city and you are from the Tribunal. A junior and mid-level mage from a small place dares to threaten the Tribunal. It is really awesome. There is also the Black Vatican. They have always been willing to kill by mistake rather than let go. They will do nothing when they already have clues. Is this realistic? This is not how you write fan fiction, there is no logic at all
