Lamps and Stars
About This Novel
"Lamps and Stars": Korean astronomy enthusiast Kim Woo-hyun brings his ancestral telescope to pursue the stars, and American environmental student Lina uses a notebook to record the changes in her homeland, and they become connected due to a debate between the stars and the earth. Starting from the New York Observatory, they traveled around the world: witnessing the "uniqueness" of the Earth in the universe at the Chilean Observatory, witnessing the fragility of their homeland in the rainforests of Southeast Asia, and feeling the climate warning in front of the glaciers of Iceland. When extreme high temperatures hit, they met engineer Marcus and joined in the project of "building warmth underground and growing flowers above ground" - building a life defense line underground and restoring green vitality to the ground. Finally, I understand: No matter how far away the star is, it cannot compare with the lights of home; no matter how far away the alien planet is, it cannot be ignored by the warmth of the world. Guarding the present is a miracle.
