About This Novel

This book is the text written by the author since he was employed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015, and is divided into three parts according to categories. The results produced during these teaching, scientific research and work processes are all based on academics, focusing on culture, taking "humanities" as the core, thinking closely around humanistic connotation, humanistic thoughts, and humanistic spirit, focusing on the discussion of human consciousness and laws, focusing on the creative inheritance and promotion of Chinese culture, and focusing on the cultivation of humanistic qualities of innovative talents. The article selects specific issues and based on the actual situation, studies or interprets the connotation, academic value and cultural significance of "humanities" from different angles and levels, and proposes a series of new academic insights, new concepts or new understandings. For example, humanistic thought is the crystallization of wisdom from human historical practice and a strategic resource shared by the whole world. It is also an important guarantee for guiding mankind's continuous innovation and civilization development; "legends, performances, utensils, pictures, and words" are the five basic forms of human cultural existence; "people-oriented, harmony between nature and man, and respect for morality and virtue" are the three core concepts of Chinese culture; theory is the highest form of culture, and academic research is an important form of cultural innovation; research ability is the first element of comprehensive talent ability; and so on. As for new interpretations of specific works and cultural phenomena, most of them make up for mistakes and strengthen scientific rigor. These results have been published in different ways, and have either received attention and recognition from the academic community, or aroused students' interest and thinking. The article retains its original appearance and has various styles.
