About This Novel

"Zizhi Tongjian" is an unprecedented chronological general history masterpiece compiled by Sima Guang, a famous historian and politician in the Northern Song Dynasty, and his assistants Liu Shu, Fan Zuyu, Liu Lian and others. The book has 294 volumes and about 3 million words. The recorded history starts from the 23rd year of King Weilie of Zhou Dynasty (403 BC), and ends with the 6th year of Zhou Xiande (959 years) after the Five Dynasties, covering 1362 years of history in 16 dynasties. "Zizhi Tongjian", as the first chronological general history of our country, has the highest praise in history. It is believed that except for "Historical Records", there is almost no other book that can compare with it.
