Long Memories
About This Novel
"Long Memories" takes the intersection of the lives of two families as the entry point, telling the story of two mothers supporting each other in desperate situations; on one side is a thatched house that was crushed by a chimney, and on the other is a house of a widowed mother who is impoverished. The mother has no choice but to live with us brothers and sisters. Entering Aunt Chen's home, she was kindly invited. From then on, Aunt Chen worked as a sand foundry and ran a processing factory to make a living. She also used food stamps to teach "me" to be honest. A lifetime of experience made "me" hope that myself and future generations can retain her spiritual qualities. The story creates an image of a kind, selfless and tenacious poor woman, expressing infinite respect and sorrow.
