About This Novel

Through a female perspective, this book tells the inspirational story of two pairs of mother and daughter rebuilding their hearts and igniting their lives after their lives hit rock bottom due to a car accident. Xiu Fang and Xiu Li are a pair of completely different sisters. Xiu Fang is optimistic and tenacious. After losing her husband, she opened a fried chicken restaurant to make a living. She pulled her only daughter to become an excellent dance teacher, but she became a fat man because of eating leftover fried chicken. Xiu Li was pessimistic, decadent, patriarchal, and had a strong desire to control her two children. After Xiufang's 60th birthday party, a car accident took away the legs of her daughter Anxin and the life of Xiuli's son. How to start life again has become the biggest problem facing the two families... If life is a long river, most people will be accustomed to the quiet years without wind and waves. When strong winds and waves hit, only the little people who are more miserable, but not the worst, have the magical self-healing power to digest misfortune, which makes people burst into tears after reading it.

I think it is just a very healing novel, a novel with great meaning in life. It gives people in darkness and swamp hope and courage to fight against the accidents and misfortunes given by fate. This novel also writes about the impact of different native families on a generation. People have thousands of faces, and different people have different ways of dealing with the same situation. It is undeniable that every parent loves their children. Some love is silent support, dedication and fulfillment, and ultimately a win-win situation; some is breathless shackles and restraints, resulting in a lose-lose ending. Everyone is an independent individual with his or her own thoughts and pursuits, and should not be bound by other people's codes of conduct and the rules of the world. There is no rule that stipulates what a person should and should not do at every point from birth to death. Isn't it the different people, different lives, and different scenery that create this beautiful and colorful world?

The book writes the character of An Xin vividly. The girl who once lived a perfect life became disabled in a car accident. When all the misfortunes are approaching, only the mother, the mother who loves her most, can selflessly dedicate herself to her and love her with all her strength. Through transformations one after another, An Xin has become a brave adult, a shining heroine with dreams and perseverance... I recommend reading this book~
