I feel like some of the comments are unfair... The country was really not strong during the Qing Dynasty, and that's when the country started to close itself off. I also feel that Yang Guang has both merits and demerits, but his faults outweigh his merits. It does not mean that he has no achievements. At least the Grand Canal is still very useful. Of course, you can't listen to what one family says. I'll look through other books.
