He stayed in power for nineteen years and controlled the government for a long time. He was jealous of insidiousness, blocked his opinions, and rejected talented people. However, as a pragmatic politician, a shrewd administrator, and a system expert, his achievements were also remarkable. During Li Linfu's long term of office, Tang Xuanzong no longer played an active role. Therefore, Li Linfu's control over the court was far more comprehensive than that of Yao Chong and others, and Yang Guozhong could not compare with him at all. In October of the eleventh year of Tianbao (752), Li Linfu died of illness.
