About This Novel

During the Anti-Japanese War, there were three siblings from the famous Ming family in Shanghai. The eldest sister, Ming Jing, was a red capitalist and secretly funded the underground party of the Communist Party of China. The eldest brother, Ming Lou, was an important member of the Wang Puppet Government and a military agent with a complicated identity. The younger brother, Mingtai, was an agent of the military, codenamed "Poisonous Scorpion." During the "Smash Plan" operation, Mingtai teamed up with Cheng Jinyun, a member of the "anti-rape" team of the underground party of the Communist Party of China, to successfully blow up the "Sakura", a special train of the Wang puppet government that transported senior Japanese officials; they also joined forces to eliminate Wang Furu, a senior official of the Wang puppet government. The two developed feelings during the battle, and by chance, they met on a blind date arranged by the family and got engaged. In an operation, Mingtai discovered that the Kuomintang's Military Control Bureau cooperated with the Wang Puppet Government to smuggle materials to make "national wealth". He was disheartened by the Kuomintang. Cheng Jinyun developed him into an underground party of the Chinese Communist Party and carried out activities as a double agent.

The TV series is better than the original work

I feel like the original Ah-Cheng is Ah-Cheng, not Mingcheng, and has no family feeling. In the TV series, Cheng is Mingcheng, one of the four siblings of the Ming family.

Love the pretender

The characters have very distinct personalities, and I like Brother Ah Cheng the most in the TV series. I will definitely buy the physical book. Come on, everything will be fine in 2017! ! !

The TV series is more exciting than the original work. After all, those actors are so good. Everyone's acting is lively. The original work is a bit of a quickie. The director, screenwriter and all the actors of The Pretender are all the best.

We in the Ming family can also return to silence and forbearance. However, please don't try to trick our Ming family again. I, Mingjing, took over the Ming family's business when I was seventeen. How many times have I survived, struggled, and charged into battle! I'm not afraid of anything! "

It's the same as the TV series; the thing that I couldn't accept the most was the death of the eldest sister Ming Jing. In my opinion, she is the most innocent in the family.

The first one, there are differences between novels and TV series

In the TV series version, Wang Tianfeng asked Guo Qiyun not to dirty up the grassroots level, but in this novel, Wang Tianfeng's boss told him yes

It is indeed a good book, truly reflecting the hidden front struggles of the 1930s and 1940s.

I think the original work is more tragic. Manli's inferiority complex, Mingtai's disguise, and Minglou's privacy make me feel sad. The sudden death of the eldest sister is also a pity. The play adds a warm plot, and Cheng's teasing of Ming Lou makes him feel less lonely. The part where the eldest sister Ming Lou bid farewell was also very touching. The author's quotations from ancient drama poems are just right, and it is also a short and concise good work.
