"Literary Consumption and Chinese Modern and Contemporary Novels" is divided into the first and second volumes. The first volume is a theoretical study of literary consumption. It is the theoretical achievement of the author in recent years by drawing on the research model of Western literary sociology and studying literary sociology, literary consumption research and popular culture research. The opening chapter "On the Third Value of Literature - Consumption Value" is the theoretical cornerstone of the whole book. This article focuses on explaining the third value of literature - consumption value based on "literary facts".
