Empty Mountain 2

About This Novel
The writer's realistic attitude in "expressing the secret history of a village" is very clear. It is not a single ethnic group, nor is it pastoral. It is legendary. The writer has extremely profound cultural, religious, natural and social experience of Tibetan villages. To call it a "secret history" is not to reveal its mystery, but to use special techniques to reveal the pain of being ignored and numb. Only in this way can the grand pattern of the novel be formed. The major and solemn themes, the thick and profound content, and the controllable structure have more profound thoughts on human and nature, politics and culture, religion, social harmony and progress. This is a realistic masterpiece full of masculine beauty, sweeping away the current trend of malaise, triviality and decadence in the literary world.

I have finished reading the three volumes of Kongshan. I read the third volume first, and then came back to the first and second volumes. I feel like the first part of book 2 is the best. Dago's story and Darser's characters have more depth. I think other characters may be forgotten in two years, but these two stories or characters should always be remembered.
I like Alai's books.
