About This Novel
At about nine o'clock in the morning, he got on a bus. That bus leads to Taiping Road. His purpose for the day was still to get there. However, the car had only driven a few stops, and when it was still a long way from Taiping Road, he got out of the car and was led by his own figure towards Beishan Square. Several kites dotted the sky with sparse cloud shadows above the square, like circling birds. The snow that had been cleared earlier was piled up around the square, but now most of it has melted away, leaving traces of water on the stone pavement of the square, making it wet. Before going out, the bright sunshine outside the window made me feel extremely warm. In fact, it turned out to be a false impression. Especially as soon as he entered Beishan Square, the cold wind hit him hard, making his whole body feel chilly and he shrank his neck. He carefully avoided the ripples of water on the ground and looked for the people flying kites in the center of the square.
