What exactly is maternal love?
This should be the first work by Keigo Higashino that I didn't give five stars. It's not because of the content or the subject matter is very good. It's just that I don't seem to like this genre. I had the urge to abandon the book several times halfway through. How big a secret is hidden behind a book whose ending I know from the beginning. I often imagine that somewhere in this world, there is a person exactly like me, living a different life. If we really meet one day, it should be a different experience. In addition, maternal love should be what this book wants to express the most. Even children who have no blood relationship with them are willing to raise them. After raising adults, they discover the truth of the matter in time, but they still have to save the children at the last moment. What a great existence maternal love is. Keigo Higashino's novels always make people read them in one sitting before letting them go. Just reading on my phone for four hours straight is too hard on my eyes.
