About This Novel
The Hart family is known for being crazy. Since the male protagonist York Hart drowned in the sea, a series of unfortunate events have occurred one after another. The autocratic and violent hostess Mrs. Hart was murdered; the daughter Louisa, who was deaf, mute and blind, was poisoned twice at home, but both narrowly escaped. Many clues in the case point to York, who committed suicide a few months ago.
