About This Novel

Thirteen-year-old Dutchess has always been cold-blooded and is a well-known "outlaw" in the small town of Haven Point. She usually has to take care of her alcoholic mother Starr and her young brother Robin. Sheriff Walker has a wound in his heart that won't heal. Thirty years ago, Walker's testimony sent his friend Vincent to prison, and he couldn't let it go. Now, Vincent returns to the town, and what follows is Starr's tragic death. Walker arrested Vincent at the crime scene, but Vincent remained silent when questioned by the police. The case is shrouded in mystery. Dutchess and Robin deserve the truth and justice, but justice has yet to come. The "outlaw gangster" decided to embark on a journey of revenge, and the peaceful town was in turmoil this summer.
