About This Novel
In a worker-gathering area of Corsicana, Texas, a wooden bungalow was being engulfed in flames. Flames were flying, paint, tiles and furniture were burning. Smoke and dust shot straight up to the roof and into every room. In an instant, the house was enveloped in a sea of flames. Eleven-year-old Buffy Barbie came home from an outing. Her home was two rooms away from the burning house. When she saw the smoke, she immediately ran inside and called her mother, Diana. The mother and daughter arrived at the scene quickly and saw the homeowner, Cameron Todd Willingham, standing alone on the front porch, wearing jeans, shirtless, his chest blackened by soot, his hair and eyebrows singed, and kept shouting: "My child is in there!" He has three daughters: 1-year-old twin sisters Came and Cameron, and 2-year-old Anba.
