About This Novel
Eiichiro Tsuchiya's only interest is to buy books from used bookstores. Although this was not befitting his status as a police officer, on his off-duty days, he always went to the almost forgotten second-hand bookstores in the side streets and alleys. He felt particularly happy when he smelled the musty smell unique to old books. We say we are buying used books, but we are not looking for rare and unique copies. He especially likes to go to bookstores that people rarely go to, and from the bookshelves that people rarely browse, he looks for some dusty books that no one has bought or even touched. One day, Tu Gu was casually browsing old books in an old bookstore in an alley. He had never been to this bookstore before because it was far away from Tugu's usual walking route, so he didn't come here often.
