About This Novel
Mr. Salim Mazarov is an informal and generous traveler. He traveled far and wide, often taking out diamonds from his jacket pockets in public places and talking to people like a farmer showing off grains of wheat. Until one day, he was finally found dead in a "den of thieves" in the wilderness of northern England. This was clearly a robbery-murder, possibly the work of a homeless man, or a well-planned crime. But the most puzzling thing is that he left all his inheritance to me, Melvin Holt, whom he had only known for less than a few months. When the suspicious eyes of the police and greedy coveters approach at the same time, is this huge inheritance falling from the sky a blessing or a curse?
