When Lu Cun heard the bad news about his father, the college's final exam had just ended. He was just trying to relax when his mother, Zong Xiu'e, called. She said that his father had an accident in the kiln. At the time of the accident, a miner with a severe stomachache was squatting in the recess of the tunnel and calling out "Ah!".
