About This Novel
"Private Detective" tells the story of Wu Cheng, a former university professor and former well-known playwright. He quit the theater industry due to a drunken gaffe that led to chaos in the "Guishan Island Incident", and retired to Liuzhangli to work as a private detective. He read newspapers and took on cases at a coffee shop, listened to the politics of A Xinqiao at the car repair shop, and made tea with a fat boy from the police station to develop a relationship. His only assistant was Tian Lai, a taxi driver he met during a surveillance operation. However, behind the seemingly peaceful life, Taiwan's first planned serial murder case is quietly happening...
