About This Novel

Leonardo DiCaprio won the 88th Academy Award for Best Actor for "The Revenant", ending his 22-year run for the Oscar! The novel is better than the movie! "The Revenant" is based on a true legend that happened during the fur trade era of the American interior in the early 19th century. In the fall of 1823, Hugh Glass, a fur hunter with extraordinary experience and skill, was hired by the Rocky Mountain Fur Company to participate in a hunting expedition deep into the interior of the Wild West. One day, while out scouting, he was attacked by a grizzly bear and was seriously injured and on the verge of death. The expedition team arranged for two teammates to stay and take care of Glass, but the two men soon abandoned the dying Glass in the wilderness and took away his guns and other belongings. Fortunately, relying on his strong will to survive, rich wilderness survival skills, and God-given good luck, Glass survived.
