About This Novel

The story takes place in New York in the 1970s. A young girl died tragically in a Greenwich Village apartment, and the whole bed turned into a sea of blood. The boy who lived with her rushed to the street covered in blood, was arrested as a murderer, and then committed suicide in prison. The girl's father found Scudder, hoping to know who his daughter was and why she was killed...
