About This Novel
In a small town in Pickett County in the eastern United States, there lived a little boy, Vernon Ray, and his friends, Bobby Elders and Dex McAllister. One day the three children seemed to hear the sound of drums and the sound of calling names coming from the Xianyin Cave in the Blue Mountains. At the same time, the annual Civil War reenactment event is about to kick off in the town. As the event approaches, strange things happen one after another: someone dies mysteriously at the foot of the mountain, and weird soldiers wander around. Amidst the rumbling sound of the military drum, a group of things that shouldn't wake up seem to be quietly awakening deep in the dark string sound cave. Perhaps by coincidence, or perhaps by fate, Vernon and his friends were also involved in this incident...
