In the virtual court, the hearing panel of the Municipal Theater is listening to a bizarre memoir report in order to set up a stage role for the reporter Sun Shengxi to treat his "disease of selflessness". Everything stems from the lie that Sun Shengxi's mother said when she was a child: "You are my child who was conceived by me. Your biological father is the monster in "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" - the mandrill." Carrying the reputation of "the son of the mandrill", Sun Shengxi searched and searched through a long period of fantasy and pain, and found that life actually began with a decades-long fictitious plan. At the end of the story, fiction intervenes again with irresistible will, completing the narrator's existence itself.
