I loved this book so much that I bought the physical copy and read it last summer.
-First of all, the writing method of this book is not easy to understand. Some people may find it boring after reading it for a while, and they will not read it until they can't stand it. -But it was precisely because of the thought-provoking questions at the beginning that I wanted to explore further, which forced my curiosity to read on. Until the end, I could not get out of the book. From the doubts and confusion at the beginning of reading the book, to the feudal superstition stories and the hallucinations of man-eating monsters told by the protagonist, to the shock of knowing the truth of the story. -It can be said that the author captured people's hearts and wrote this book so well that people can't help but like it.
Penetrate into people's hearts! !
Everything is a conspiracy planned by Dodge! But why did Dodge kill Martin?
Didn't understand
Trust and betrayal, love and hatred, until the end of this book, I will always think that the devil killed everyone. The final ending is reasonable, but beyond my expectation, we planned this murder together just to be close to the person I like. Suddenly I feel like it's good to be alive
Didn't Heather think that she would be killed too? What beliefs supported her stay in the asylum for a year? I feel like there are loopholes in all three books written by this author. This book spent about three-quarters of the book setting up the story, and I almost didn't want to read anymore. Books should still spread positive energy.
Strong recommendation
This book is very beautiful. When I read the paper book, I would never have imagined that the ending would be so twisty unless I read the last few pages! It's really nice to read carefully when you calm down, but the feeling may be different between paper books and e-books. Give it a push! ! ! 😄
I like the author, and even more like your previous work The Ferryman!
Because Dodge and Heather decided to let Martin be the sacrificer, but Darren and Emma were suspicious of it and silenced them together.
Don't quite understand
My first feeling after reading the whole book was, what the hell? Is that the end? ! The beginning of the story is fascinating. The past and the present are intertwined in the book to narrate the story. However, the ending is not clear. Why are people killing people? Is it to test black magic? It's a bit like a Korean drama, with a gorgeous beginning and a hasty ending.
I don't know what this book is about until the end. Can anyone tell me?
