About This Novel
"Yushucun Miscellaneous Notes" and "Puqiao Collection" were both written by Mr. Wang Zengqi in Puhuangyu's residence. They are his only two self-edited collections with Puhuangyu as the title. It writes about scenery, records events and emotions, involving all aspects, but also focusing on one time and one place. One moment, that is, the "golden age" of Wang Zengqi's creation from 1983 to 1996; one place, namely Puhuangyu in the south of Beijing, where Wang Zengqi and his family lived at that time. Most of the works in his life, including the best articles during his "decline and reform" period, mostly came from a cubicle "study" in Building 9 on Puhuangyu Road. This collection can be regarded as the companion volume of "Puqiao Collection", and it can be called a double gem.
