About This Novel

Iga Momo and Ueno Ao met in the second grade of junior high school because of their common ideal of becoming famous detectives. Later, they became partners through a robbery case and formed the "Momo Ao Group". The two men are completely different in appearance, personality and ideas for solving cases. Tao, who is tied in a ponytail, has rosy skin, like a bean-faced rice cake; Qing has short black hair that turns blue and fair and transparent skin, like a skinny strawberry Daifuku. Tao believes that a flash of inspiration is what a great detective is all about; Qing insists on logical thinking. When they entered high school, there was no mystery club, so they joined the broadcast club. They were sent by the president to Iga, the hometown of Ninja and Basho, to interview for a "journey of reasoning", but they were involved in a murder. The clues at the crime scene seemed to match the elements in Basho's haiku. Could it be a comparison of murder? Tao and Qing, who are both friends and rivals, participate in the investigation. In the dialogue, the reasoning process is overthrown and reconstructed again and again. The contest between the detectives also resolves the detective's existential crisis!
