About This Novel

Securities dealer Harry Longstreet was poisoned to death with a strange weapon on a tram. The police conducted a carpet search but still had no clue. In desperation, Inspector Sam and Prosecutor Bruno went to Hamlet Villa to seek help from Jerry Lane, a former famous Shakespearean actor who was over 60 years old. After listening to the case statement, Lane actually claimed that he knew who the murderer was, but refused to identify the murderer without getting conclusive evidence! Unexpectedly, not long after, a mysterious person wrote a letter claiming to have important clues to the case...

The plot of the case itself does not use the bizarre as a gimmick like many detective novels nowadays. It is simple and unpretentious, has a classical temperament, and the logical deduction is amazing.

The swan song of the detective, the dissolute story of reasoning

It's a bit cumbersome at first, with too many descriptions of scenery. Even if it's not a detective novel, it can still be considered a literary work. But the subsequent story is particularly exciting, the case design is particularly interesting, especially the final reasoning, which is even more amazing. In short, I really like it. Reasoning crime member reports!

I've read it once before, and now I'm going to review it. I especially like what Quinn wrote.

No matter how wonderful the story is, it will always come to an end. When it ends, the answer you want will appear.

You have to be patient and read Quinn's mystery novels slowly. The closer you get to the truth, the more interesting it becomes.

The English translation still fails to appreciate the essence of the original work.

Older mystery novels always make the murderer obvious in advance🤗
