Ayatsuji Yukito 05: Clock Museum Incident
About This Novel
The quiet mountains and forests of Kamakura hide a mysterious building designed by Nakamura Seiji - the Clock Museum. There are hundreds of different clocks in the museum, pointing to the same time in an incredible way and traveling at the same speed; outside the museum stands a clock tower without hands, and its bell has never sounded. Ten years ago, the most beloved daughter of the owner Gu E Lundian died unfortunately, followed by the deaths of six other related figures in the Gu E family. After that, under the silent clock tower, the ghost of a beautiful girl appeared, wandering in the quiet forest... Ten years later, "CHAOS" magazine, which is famous for focusing on supernatural phenomena, in order to find out the truth about the undead, together with several members of W University's Paranormal Phenomenon Research Society and a psychic, entered the strange clock museum. However, they did not expect that the three-day seance session, which was isolated from the outside world, would turn into a moment of crazy killing...

There are clocks everywhere. From the beginning, we knew it was a time-related case. The time scam the father did for his daughter was a bit touching. In the end, the murderer was very tired. He killed so many people in a few days of sneak attacks and hand-to-hand combat.
This is my first time reading a serious mystery novel. Very interesting
A sad story worth reading
The moment the bell tower fell, my soul was sublimated. Sadness and relief came to my heart at the same time, and the colorful memorial ceremony was finally carried out in another way. Only ingenious tricks and techniques can create excellent stories and characters. I hope that more fans of mystery novels will see Mr. Ayatsuji's pavilion series and appreciate the unique charm of mechanism architecture.

Personally, I think this is the best book in the series, and the ending is full of twists and turns.
It's quite exciting, with many twists and turns! The final ending is magnificent.
What are you writing about? The characterization is not good, and all 108 clocks in the museum are smashed? Why didn't you get rid of the clocks earlier? You can guess the time trick and the alibi trick from the foreshadowing, and the secret room murder depends on the writing? In the end, it is enough to directly deduce the murderer, and you have to come up with a pseudo-answer. The murder motive is strong, you know the husband's diary, you understand the structure of the museum, you can invite the victim to the museum, and it is obvious who the murderer is, and you still need to provide an incompetent answer?
sin
Sin is submerged in the deepest part of time, leading to destruction at the end of the intertwining process.
The front part is scary, but the reasoning behind it is still very exciting.
Delicate characterization and compact plot
The ending really concerned me...
The front part is more scary. You can basically guess the murderer after leaving the old building, but the reasoning is also wonderful, and the description of the structure of the clock tower is also very exciting. The clock tower refracts colorful light. But at the end, why did the male protagonist look at the clock on the wall, then at his pocket watch, and then at the writer? Just to make sure the time is OK? I always feel like it has some profound meaning!
